Pets in Aion 2 aren’t just cute companions—they’re a core part of boosting your account-wide stats like Dexterity, Intelligence, and Smite damage. Collecting more pets is one of the fastest ways to increase your Combat Power (CP) and dominate in endgame content. Here’s how experienced players maximize their pet collections efficiently.
1. Grind Open-World Mobs Strategically
Target Specific Monsters: Certain monsters drop pet-related items, often called souls or collection components. Focus on mobs tied to the pet type you want.
Use Regional Maps: Check your regional map to locate monster clusters along coastlines or mainlands. Farming in the right zones drastically reduces wasted time.
Hit Kill Milestones: Usually, you need to kill target mobs around 300–400 times to reach level 4 in a pet’s progression. Once done, move to another creature category.
Stack Dual Stats: Grinding pets increases both the broad Genus category stats and the specific pet collection stat, making every kill doubly valuable.
2. Leverage Alternate Characters (Alts)
Account-Wide Benefits: Pets are bound to your account, so earning them on any alt benefits your main character.
Daily Pet Dungeons: Level multiple alts to 35–45 and run daily pet dungeons. Every run funnels extra pet components to your account.
Premium Rewards: If you have a subscription, you can claim double loot in dungeons, accelerating your pet collection progress.
3. Utilize Other Sources
Daily Logins: Check all characters for seasonal login rewards—they often include pet chests and summon components.
Eternal Island & High-Level Zones: These areas have dense mobs that drop rare pet items. Be careful, as these zones are competitive and highly contested.
4. Upgrade Your Genus Insight Collection
Maximize Stat Boosts: Each pet contributes to the Genus Insight collection. Prioritize pets that complement your main stats to maximize your CP.
Plan Progression: Focus on completing categories strategically—don’t spread your farming too thin, or progress slows.
