If you have been exploring Stella Montis lately, chances are you have picked up the Fragmented Logs quest from Shani. This mission tasks you with restoring power to some ancient machinery scattered across the area to recover old historical data. It is a three-step process, and honestly, you will probably want to tackle it across multiple raids. The zones you need to visit are heavily patrolled by Shredders and various ARC forces, so trying to rush all three objectives in a single go is just asking for a quick trip back to the lobby. Take your time, focus on one piece at a time, and play it safe.
Before you even think about loading into Stella Montis, there is one absolute requirement: you need to bring at least one Electrical Component in your inventory. This is the item required to actually fix the machinery. If you happen to drop in and realize you forgot it, do not panic just yet—you can sometimes scavenge them mid-raid by finding and recycling junk items like phones or mechanical wasps, but it is much easier to just pack one from your stash beforehand.
Here is the exact route and breakdown to get this quest done.
Phase 1: Repair the Terminal in the Robotic Sandbox
Your first stop is the Sandbox point of interest, which sits right in the central part of the Stella Montis map.
Once you arrive at the Sandbox, you want to elevate your position. Head up to the upper-level control rooms, specifically navigating through the alcoves that sit between Robotic Sandbox A and Robotic Sandbox B. Keep an eye out for a specific control console that is labeled "Repair Faulty Components." Walk up to it, interact with the terminal, and use that Electrical Component you brought along to repair the broken system.
Phase 2: Enable Power in the Conduit Backrooms
With the terminal repaired, you now need to route power over to the archives. Head back down toward the ground floor on the east side of Robotic Sandbox A.
You are looking for a corridor that leads over toward Control Room A3. Just before you actually reach Control Room A3, look off to the side for a small, easily missed conduit backroom. Step inside, look for the main power switch—it is marked with bright yellow electrical tape—and flip it. This sends power directly to the Cultural Archives mainframe, setting up your final step.
Phase 3: Boot the Mainframe Data Terminal
The final stretch takes you all the way to the far east side of Stella Montis, where the Cultural Archives are located.
When you get to the archives, move past the main areas and head into the service backrooms located toward the middle and back section of the building structure. Before you start interacting with anything, do yourself a favor and thoroughly clear out any nearby enemies. The last thing you want is a rogue drone or a Shredder ambushing you while you are locked in a menu animation. Once the coast is clear, find the mainframe terminal at the very back of the room, interact with it to bring it online, and the quest will immediately mark itself as complete.
